5 Perfectly Unique Birdfeeders

Everyone loves being unique. There is something fun, dangerous, and rebellious with not fitting the everyday norm that society says is acceptable. Maybe this does not bring up images of unique birdfeeders, but maybe it should. Why? Because unique birdfeeders are so different, so odd, so simplistically different that they demand the attention of even the cold hearted passerby. Sometimes unique birdfeeders can make you think, but most unique birdfeeders can make you laugh.

1. I have a love of unique birdfeeders that are shaped like cats. I have seen a few of these novelty birdfeeders, and I must admit, they always make me laugh. Usually, they are shaped like a cat that is getting ready to pounce, and he has his mouth wide open. The mouth is the area where the bird seed is located. This is always so funny it never neglects bringing a laugh out of me when I see them.

2. One of the unique birdfeeders that always gets a laugh are those birdfeeders designed to bungle of a squirrels attempt to eat lunch with those birds. Squirrels are very persistent little pests to anyone that has a love of birds. They get into the feed, they scare off the birds, and they destroy what they cannot possess. I have seen many a birdhouse destroyed by a group of raving squirrels. However, more and more people are purchasing squirrel-proof birdfeeders. Some of the methods used to discourage these critters is to say the least, hilarious.

3. There are a lot of those Victorian birdfeeders roaming around these days. And why not? They are elegant, beautiful, and completely functional. What is there not to love? You get everything beautiful. Therefore, you are adding an addition to your home that serves a dual purpose like no other unique birdfeeders can. These are difficult to find, because most Victorian style bird accessories are bird houses. However, more and more people are turning to adding some birdfeeders into the fray.

4. I have seen many unique birdfeeders that are extensions of collectibles that the person enjoys. My mom sent me pictures of a house she saw that had Elvis birdfeeders. I have seen some that were Pooh. There are literally no limits to what can be created as a birdfeeder. Many people throughly enjoy taking that favorite character, and adding that character to their yard.

5. Finally, I make these unique birdfeeders with my children. We get milk jugs, and through a process of magic, glue, and laughter, create some pretty nifty looking birdfeeders. These birdfeeders may not be quality enough to sell, but they have so many good memories associated with them. My eldest child left home a few years ago. He came by to visit and actually wanted to know if he could take a couple from the yard that had special memories for him. These unique birdfeeders offer simplistic beauty, and they are a great way to recycle.

When you want something different, something unusual, maybe you should consider purchasing some unique birdfeeders for your home or office.
