Electrical Bird Feeder Stops Squirrel Problems

Beautiful birds chirping, playing, and carrying on in the back yard can be relaxing and entertaining. But if you want to hear a real ruckus just watch what happens when the squirrels get into the bird feeder. You can stop the problem with an electrical bird feeder.

Squirrels are a cute and it’s not that they aren’t a fun addition to a back yard but squirrels and other rodents such as mice and rats can become a real problem when bird feeders are around. So it’s a bit of a balancing act.

You don’t want other creatures eating the seed designed for the birds and you don’t want to attract rodents like mice and rats which can cause other problems. And you just want to keep the squirrels at bay. That’s why shock systems have become so popular.

Here are just a few of the options that help keep pesky creatures out of your bird feeders.

1. Tube Feeder – is one of the more common feeders and it’s designed to stop heavier creatures from being able to access the seed because the perch is weight sensitive. When a pest steps onto the perch it spins and they fall off.
2. Double Mesh Platform Feeder – discourages the squirrels without harming them but any type of bird can access the food because it is stored underneath a grid which is easily accessed with their beaks.
3. Electric Squirrel Shock Feeder – Is sensitive to the weight of the squirrel and when the squirrel steps on it is delivered a sharp but harmless sting that discourages it.
4. Roller Feeder – has two full length stations with a cover that is transparent and weight sensitive. When the pest jumps onto it the barrel rolls over and the pest falls down.
5. Ring Loaded Feeder – the weight hits the spring the dome snaps closed and when the rodent or squirrel is gone it reopens.
6. Brome Squirrel Buster – the cage around the seed keeps the squirrels and rodent out and because the cage is weight sensitive when the squirrel or rodent steps onto the perch the shroud instantly drops over the seed so it can’t be accessed.
7. Wild Bills Electric Squirrel Shocker – This system even works for raccoons. The birds love this type of feeder because they quickly gain a sense of security. The shock is harmless but enough to send the unwanted creatures scurrying off.

It’s not that you don’t want to enjoy some of the other creatures that Mother Nature has to offer but keeping those birds resident is much more important.

Using an electrical bird feeder can make life so much easier!
